University Health System promotes two staff members in Reno

RENO, NV. - University Health System, the clinical practice of the University of Nevada School of Medicine,  recently promoted two staff employees for its Reno operation.

          Jennifer Holcombe has been promoted to executive director of practice plan operations north. She brings 13 years of healthcare experience, including previous positions with UHS where she began in the internal medicine clinic as the manager, moving to director of clinical services.

          The position provides direction for the all of the day-to-day operations of the UHS practice plan and provides administrative and strategic direction including planning, monitoring and managing the overall operations. The executive director of practice plan operations provides leadership, direction and administration of all aspects of clinical activities to ensure quality delivery of healthcare services and educational opportunities for residents and medical students.  In this position, Holcombe, who has an M.B.A., is responsible for ensuring the physician offices operate in a financially sound, appropriate manner, and are adequately staffed. Additionally, she will provide leadership for the organization and provide strong management and financial skills to encourage and develop growth.

          Rebecca "Becca" Rudd has been promoted to office supervisor for the new internal medicine primary clinic opening in the professional building, located on Pringle Way, at the Renown campus. She will have oversight for the front office and back office for the day-to-day processes.  Becca has worked in healthcare for five years.  She received her medical assistant certification from Career College of Northern Nevada. Since joining UHS, Becca has worked in the medical records, the back office as a medical assistant, and most recently as the supervisor for the front office, all at The Plaza Internal Medicine office.
